FERTSHOP (TBA)

A lot of people have never fertilized their plants or aren't sure where to start. Coffee grounds and banana tea can help, but are incomplete solutions. Worm castings and compost aren't necessary soil additives when a fertilizer can more easily and reliably provide the complete range of necessary nutrients that plants need for growth (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, boron, molybdenum, and chlorine, yes, CHLORINE!).

I'll help you calibrate an included digital pH glass electrode meter (litmus strips and eye balling color drops are a pain and not accurate), we mix a gallon of fertilizer, and then we balance the pH down to the ideal range for nutrient uptake (pH 5.5-6.2) and discuss why this is an ideal range.

We'll also be learning why I recommend Dyna-Gro Foliage-Pro (9-3-6) in combination with Dyna-Gro Pro-Tekt and how to mix the two, how much to use, and how to adjust your fert schedule during winter. Foliar feeding, tap water calcification, and so much more!

Note: I encourage organic fertilizers for raising edible plants and crops, this workshop is for non-edible houseplants ONLY.
